Terms & Conditions

A clear starting point for using this website and discussing electrical work with Wirestead.

Last revised: 16 October 2026

01 / About these terms

These terms cover use of this website and enquiries made through it. A quotation or service agreement sets out the specific scope, price and arrangements for any electrical work. Nothing on this page limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

02 / Enquiries and bookings

Submitting an enquiry is a request for a response, not a confirmed appointment or acceptance of a job. Availability, location, access requirements and the nature of the work must be confirmed before a booking is agreed. Please provide accurate information and let us know if circumstances change.

03 / Quotations and changes

Website descriptions and any indicative prices do not replace a quotation for your property. The agreed quotation should identify labour, materials, applicable taxes and any call-out or diagnostic charges. Additional work or changes to the scope must be discussed and agreed before proceeding.

04 / Access and safe working

The person arranging a visit must have authority to grant access and approve the requested work. Please disclose known hazards, access restrictions and relevant information about the installation. Work may need to be paused if conditions are unsafe or further assessment is required. Do not attempt electrical repairs based on website content.

05 / Payment, rescheduling and cancellation

Payment dates, deposits and any cancellation or rescheduling charges must be stated in the quotation or service agreement before acceptance. Tell us as soon as possible if you need to change a visit. Any cancellation rights required by applicable consumer law remain unaffected.

06 / Workmanship and concerns

Any workmanship commitments, product warranties and aftercare arrangements should be set out in the service agreement or supplied with the relevant products. Raise concerns about completed work using the contact details on your quotation or invoice, with a description of the issue so it can be assessed.

07 / Using this website

Use this website lawfully. Do not submit misleading information, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access or misuse its forms. Text, photographs, graphics and branding are protected by the rights of their respective owners. Permission may be required for reuse beyond what applicable law allows.

08 / Information and third-party links

Website content provides general information about services and is not a substitute for an on-site assessment or professional safety advice. Linked websites are operated by third parties and have their own terms and privacy practices. Access to this website may be interrupted for maintenance or other reasons.

09 / Applicable rights and updates

The law applicable to a service agreement and any dispute arrangements should be confirmed with that agreement. Mandatory consumer protections continue to apply. Updated website terms may be posted here; changes do not retrospectively alter an existing service agreement without a valid basis.
